As you sip on your beverage, take in the stunning views of Pikes Peak—a perfect backdrop to this cozy coffee haven. Customers rave about the friendly and knowledgeable staff, adding to the overall charm of the place. John C. noted, "The ambience was young, fashionable and generally cool." Meanwhile, Real K. highlighted how enjoyable it is to pair a drink from Building Three with a pastry from the adjoining Nightingale’s Bakery, creating a quintessential local experience.
The atmosphere is as much a highlight as the coffee itself. The former school setting brings a unique nostalgia, transporting you back to simpler times. With its repurposed classrooms transformed into delightful spaces for various local businesses, Building Three Coffee embodies community spirit and creativity. As Henry’s T. humorously reflected, the "school" setting imbues each visit with a charming sense of energy.
For enthusiasts of delightful flavors, you simply cannot miss their exceptional rose cardamom lattes. As praised by Janelle M., these lattes, along with their whole bean coffee served to go, make every visit memorable and worth repeating. While the menu could benefit from more vegan options, the standout offerings, such as the oat milk matcha highlighted by Rachelle R., promise to satisfy all cravings.
In summary, Building Three Coffee stands out not just for its meticulous attention to coffee craft, but also for its welcoming atmosphere and community-centered approach. With a fantastic selection of beverages and a charming location, this coffee shop is a must-visit for anyone in Colorado Springs seeking a true coffee experience.

The ambience was young, fashionable and generally cool. The coffee was perfect and the staff friendly and knowledgeable.

Great view of Pikes Peak, unless a jogging group is meeting up and blocking it. We love to get a pastry at Nightingale's next door, and our coffee or tea here. The service is super friendly, and the beverages are very good. We also appreciate that they're open at7! It's good to beat the rush, but on Saturdays the bakery isn't open till 8.

This is such a cute area. There's a bunch of shops in an old closed down school. I wish the menu had vegan labeled options as I could only really get drinks. The oat milk matcha was amazing though!

Best coffee, best people, best breakfast burritos! I wish I lived in the Springs because if I did, this place would be my home away from home! I will go out of my way if I'm in town. Their rose cardamom latte's are my fav but honestly I'll drink any latte they make. Love their whole bean coffee to go too. I'll buy several to take home with me!

Great coffee and friendly service. What more can you ask for? Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

While in town visiting friends, they kept saying we had to get to this coffee shop. She is a bonafide coffee-holic and so am I. Once we stepped in the aroma was heavenly. The staff were extremely welcoming, maybe in part because our friend is a regular. First I ordered a latte. The presentation was lovely and it was a gentle smooth treat. Next up was an Americano. It was strong and also somehow smooth- not bitter at all. Compared to many others I've tried, this coffee shop is superior. Part of the charm is it's one of many different businesses on a long hallway. The hallway is lined with tables and chairs. While in search of a restroom, a realization came that this building is a repurposed old school. Created a bit of nostalgia. Truly the Colorado way to preserve and reuse.

Great view and friendly staff. Coffee was ok but not the best, same with the pastries. Was very clean and cool spot in an old school.

It was the coffee selection that prompted me to visit Building Three Coffee. I ordered the cortado which came with a small glass of carbonated water and quiche. Both very good. Service was quick and staff very friendly. The seating area was limited but managed to find a bar seat and found myself looking at Pikes Peak which was covered with snow. What a view.

I had not been here for awhile. They have taken over the gluten free restaurant next door. They mainly kept the same menu. The food is still delicious.

Ever just have "one of those days?" I suppose we all do, including those who work with school children. During my visit to "Building 3 Coffee" I noticed a picture opportunity that I believe qualifies for the 2023 Henry's Take Honor Roll. You see, they are located within a building that was for more than 60 years the home of Lincoln Elementary School, which makes the "BEER" sign placed right outside the Staff Lounge undeniably hilarious! Can you imagine if the faculty had the option of enjoying "a cold one" during a particularly challenging day? Rather than the hallways being filled with energetic children excitedly scuttling from one location to another, now each former classroom is occupied by various businesses including this one. While you can no longer hear children's voices filling these spaces, you can enjoy their seemingly limitless energy and spirit when you visit. The next time you need a little pick me up, stop here for a little shot of caffeine and you'll feel like a kid again in no time. Editor's Note: Please remember to play nice with the other kids on the playground and to be open to trading portions of your lunch with your friends (we promise not to tell your mom! ). And that's...Henry's Take. #schoolmemories
